Yes, it may not be a good idea to have a new forum that had a domain name with IBM in it.

Perhaps http://www.ipig2009.org.uk/ shows the way of controlling forum viewing and posting.

The AMIPP forum has perhaps been fortunate that when there was no control of registration there had been very few attempts to place spam messages.
But I found that it was annoying to spend time removing the posts that had often been silly advertising messages.
So since then registration has been moderated by the admins.

Hopefully registered members here will have further comments about your suggestions.
