Basically, the 2014 pension statement shows two possible ways of calculating pension value from ages 60 to 63, which are called Basis A and Basis B. Basis A does not apply ERDFs from age 63 whereas Basis B includes that value of the Statutory Revaluation of the pension applied since the closure of the DB plan (5th April 2011).

However Basis A and Basis B are mutually exclusive, i.e. where Basis A is applied (no ERDFs) then no Statutory Revaluation is applied. In other words you can have one or the other but not both. So IBM is not ignoring the C Plan Court judgement but has found a way to work around it and, once again, we find ourselves stuffed.
