At this point in time, the INTENTION IS NOT to damage
IBM's image by seeking press publicity. We would like IBM to
remain a successful company.
However we do wish to inform C-Plan members about the pension
situation and to organise ourselves so that, should it be necessary,
we can present our case effectively. At present the Pensions Ombudsman
is reviewing the case (submitted via OPAS) and we await his ruling.
It may be that a change in legislation is needed and some members are
also informing their MPs about the matter.
I would welcome other comments on this subject.
