Too early to ask that Mike. This is not to impugn your integrity nor that of your colleagues who run this excellent and very highly valued facility. However it seems that IBM has engaged in infiltration to subvert and attempt to control and shutdown the message boards in the US. The IBMFORIBMERS board is an example. The majority are not going to give you e-mail addresses on specific statements unless they can be assured that they do so under the English Law of Confidence.
This organisation at present doesn't and can not hold that comfort. No doubt this will be part of the Articles of Association of any Association which will follow. In the meantime I know that Members would be very pleased to receive comfort here that they have no financial relationship with IBM other than their pensions, are not dependent upon them for work and are not subject to litigation from IBM. The point is that Members must be absolutely assured that those responsible for this Board are above influence. If say a Board Principal were subject individually or through his Companies to litigation from IBM then it would of course be proper and required for him to resign his position. Perhaps all named principals and organisers might respond to give this comfort.
Keep up the good work. You are getting there.
