If you have followed this thread up to this point, you may be interested in a (slightly outdated) comparison of how Germany and the UK do pension schemes. If we were in Germany, we WOULD be able to get redress through contract/labour law. (Or more likely, we would have been protected from getting into our current situation at all.)
