I'd say this is the right forum, on the grounds that there isn't a better one. We shall see from the responses you get whether it will prove helpful.
As a retiree, the transfer choice is not something I have researched. I believe there are other choices you may need to think about too, like taking the value of your C-plan out when you retire (or even before if that is allowed) and making the investment decisions yourself.
