Taking a minute or two here from the "day-job" at "IBM Tampa" to correct your illusion of the benefits us retirees are being "awarded" ! It was only 2.4% due to the current capping of RPI - so, employees and retirees alike are all slipping backwards to ensure our illustrious "leaders" are overly (dare I say it, in many cases undeservedly) well-shod for THEIR retirement !! However, lets face it, we (i.e. UK employees and retirees) ARE all better off than many in the US who must now remember the phrase "respect for the individual" with an extreme sense of nausia (and who could blame them ?) Yes, the Good Old Days - "I remember them well"
