An understanding of the corporate picture is essential in our understanding of the forces driving the UK company. Two of the five IBM executives, who act as Trustee Directors, are senior financial executives from the USA parent company and presumeably have IBM global interests in mind.
Much of the USA news posted by Tally-ho-US concerns Resolutions proposed for the 2001 AGM. There are many UK people who own IBM shares and therefore have a vote at this meeting. Such news is important to them. Hence the new Shareholders section on this website.
