Who owns the fund?

There has been much correspondence on who owns our pension fund, what percentage the company contributed and what the members contributed etc. etc. I still think there is not enough emphasis being put on the principle that all the contributions were ours. The contributions made by the company were part of my compensation package. Even Jim Lamb alludes to it in one his letters and I quote:

"You will appreciate that pensions are just one element of the compensation package and IBM found that prospective and current employees were putting a greater value on current salary and benefit levels than they were on future pensions."

So if they were part of our compensation package the total fund belongs to the members. I would like to see some discussion on this as the last time I mentioned it no one commented. Do I not have a valid point?????
