I find the documents and messages very informative. I was wondering about the following:
1.What percentage of the current C plan fund is attributable to IBM's contributions and what percentage comes from the retirees and existing employees?
For example, (and I do not know what IBM contributed before 1997 - is there any info on this?), if IBM contributed 10% of base salary on average and the employees 4% then the employee/retiree "part" might be of the order of 30%.
For someone who started employement in, say, 1990 the employee share of the contribution towards the C fund is obviously much higher due to IBM's vacationing.
2.What happens to AVCs? (I'm referring to the additional contributions on top of the 4% and I know they are/were handled during the contribution stage by Equitable Life). What happens at the end - do they ever become inter-related at all with the C Plan Fund? I hope not but decided to check just in case ..
