On Monday Gavin Wilson wrote an email that contained "I therefore tendered my resignation from the board of the Pension Trust last night."
Some of you emailed AMIPP with this information and (again by email,later) it was suggested that AMIPP should comment since the information was "public". AMIPP did not comment because of the possibility of an unstable situation. AMIPP welcomes your news about pensions, and will have good grounds if it does not propagate the information.
It suffices now to say that Gavin has agreed to remain as a trustee-director and all the people I know about are pleased by that.
AMIPP is not able to tell you about any plans to make the circumstances of employee trustee-directors more favourable but it is to be hoped that there will be some, and that there will be no blame-the-victim effects.
