LAKE KATRINE - More than 100 people whose lives were closely tied to IBM's fortunes in the Hudson Valley - mostly IBM retirees or their spouses - packed the basement meeting room of Ulster Town Hall Wednesday night for an information session concerning their dwindling retirement benefits.
The event was organized by a retired 37-year veteran of IBM, Art Richter, in association with Benefits Restoration Inc., a non-profit organization that focuses on some of the world's largest corporations' broken promises to retirees.
