I doubt it - sometimes - in fact I'd say 99% of the time - the conspiracy theory against our beloved and often unreasonably maligned volunteer webmaster is totally misplaced.
It is more likely a time-out change that happens on many sites wither a timing or logging out thing of the original poster.
I'm much more "grumpier" than most but suggesting he edits out search strings on links is I think a twitch too far!
Oh gawd - I'm getting less grumpy!
