: It's right up your street?

My position upon this has been entirely consistent. The only raison d'etre for a commercial company is to make profit and in fact to make obscene profits. Either the workforce represent an opportunity to grow the business and hence profit, or ....("hmm how can I put this?") they need to be cast out, I mean recast in a new mould, as cheaply as possible, I mean as cheerily as possible, because they'll need to feel cheerful when they realise that they've been cheated out of the financial security they have worked years for, oohps ... because go-getters don't look back to the last shafting but instead are filled with the spirit that built this great Empire.

As I see so many of my fellow Britons start again from scratch it fills me with pride to be British and to represent them. Would that the remaining employees who are weighing business down here would follow their example and set out on this brave new quest.

I'm also proud to have a number of virtual employers in my Constituency, some of which I have very close, ... errh and proper, links indeed with. I only wish IBM had a token presence on my land - 10 sq ft would do .. don't want one of those huge blots on the landscape that used to come with a Corporate presence. Some Labour oik beat me to giving them a spot of "Non- Parliamentary consultancy", and even wangled the financing of Labour's election system for the last election. All perfectly proper even if IBM had to change its business conduct guidelines to allow political donations.

It upsets me greatly to say this but New Labour is learning very quickly.
