Thanks for supplying the extra detail. Of course the Directive was a golden opportunity and IBM saw that very clearly across Europe. The Opel call though did take place before the Greenock decision was made, and was not merely to tie the knot. He made a number of similar calls across Europe using other levers. They all worked.
Still it is interesting to hear what things were going on in Country. They could be quite creative when they wanted to be and stopped the gameplaying for a moment.
