Despite what you say this statement is CORRECT. GAR refers to members before a certain date who had a GUARANTEED ANNUITY RATE (GAR) - this was to do with what pension they would get when they retired. This has now gone due to the compromise. The annual 3.5% bonus is applied to ALL IBM members, independent of their previous GAR or non-GAR status.

This is correct as stated above. Your answer of 'no they don't' is WRONG.
