Good result, but what about the methods? If the steelworkers had gone to the Ombudsman or their MPs they would have got nowhere.
I found it ironic that the newspapers reported this result on the same day as I submitted my nomination for the trustee election. Those seeking fairness by the route of learning facts and following procedures now have to reconcile that approach with the Caparo experience that brute clout is what works.
Caparo is ammunition for the view, expressed from time to time on this message board, that following procedures is worse than pointless because it gives credibility to corporate privileges which ought to be unacceptable.
