There was a recent message about stirring the media ("We need a television program") and over time there have been a number of suggestions for different activities.
But apparently there isn't the same enthusiasm for using the democratic route to influence. As far as I know, the Webmaster has received no reaction from the suggestion in the recent newsletter that potential candidates for the upcoming trustee elections should contact him.
I realise that volunteering to be an elected trustee has a high element of volunteering to bang your head against the brick wall of corporate privilege, but if efforts are not made can we reasonably argue that the system has failed?
The Minister who introduced the legislation about elected trustees said "We are going to give members more influence in the running of their schemes".
