Biography

32yrs IBM experience across several functions. I have worked with Colleagues and friends across UK, EMEA and USA.

Election Statement

This year you should be voting on the "Member Nominated Trustee Arrangements." The Government allowed existing approvals to continue for a further 4yrs. Employers could have proposed new arrangements and Trustees agreed, sadly this did not happen in IBM.

 Having been a MED for 3yrs I can confirm, in my opinion, the Arrangements are NOT Satisfactory. Despite my efforts full results of elections will not be published, the attitude "what difference does it make," sums up the difficulties any MED encounters.

 Despite these frustrations, pensions is a very complex business and having completed my steep learning curve believe there is a need for knowledge sharing between MED's.    Over the last 3yrs I have supported Less Secrecy, Improvement in PIP's,  inclusion of Variable Pay in pensionable earnings, getting out of Equitable Life sooner and the introduction of an Independent Chairman. If re-elected I will continue to try my best.
