BSc(Maths), PhD(Statistics)
CEng. Early retired 1991. Had a "badge" for IBM Hursley from 1963 to 2002
continuously. Programmer, first and second line manager and projects manager
while IBM employed.
Contractor, sole trader,
company director at times since 1991, with experience of administering VAT
returns and employer National Insurance Contributions.
Election Statement
Currently chairman of an
international committee maintaining a programming language standard, of the
Association of Members of IBM UK Pension Plans, www.amipp.org.uk and of
the Confederation of Occupational Pensioners Associations www.copas.org.uk
Never a member of any
political party or union.
Occupational pensions are
not corporate charity. They stem from a bargain bought with work. The purpose
of discretions is to deliver that bargain.
